HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Dan Schnurr is no longer serving as warden of the Hutchinson Correctional Facility, the Kansas Department of Corrections confirmed Thursday.
Hutch Post received a report that Schnurr had been terminated Wednesday, Oct. 28. However, KDOC did not confirm whether Schnurr was fired or provide a reason for his departure.

“Dan Schnurr is no longer serving as the warden of the Hutchinson Correctional Facility (HCF),” KDOC Public Information Officer David Thompson said in a statement to Hutch Post. “KDOC appreciates his more than forty years of service and wishes him success in his future endeavors.”
Thompson said Tim Easley, the current warden at Larned State Correctional Facility, will serve as interim warden in Hutchinson while the department searches for a permanent replacement.
KDOC did not provide a timeline for selecting a new warden.
Additional details surrounding Schnurr's departure have not been released.
