GRAHAM COUNTY —Law enforcement investigated an alleged school threat in Hill City.
On Tuesday, the Hill City Police department learned of an alleged threat of violence made to the school, according to a media release from the police department.
Police contacted the subject and after investigating determined the threat was not credible.
As a precaution, officers were in the area of the school on Wednesday. Officers saw the subject walking in the area of the school property and made contact. The subject complied with officers. Police found no weapons or illegal items on the subject. The subject also agreed to let police search their residence. Officers searched the residence and did not locate any weapons, illegal items or any other harmful items. "There is no threat to public safety or to the school."
