BUTLER COUNTY — Authorities are investigating the cause of a Kansas house fire.
Just after 3:30p.m. Wednesday, the El Dorado Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 1016 W. Clark in El Dorado, according to Tony Yaghjian with the El Dorado Fire Department.
El Dorado Fire Station 1 and Station 2 responded along with Butler County EMS and El Dorado Police Department. On scene crews found a single-story home with heavy smoke and flames visible.
Fire crews made an aggressive fire attack and conducted a search of the structure for any unknown occupants.
Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control in a short time and Search crews gave a primary and secondary all clear, indicating there were no occupants inside the building.
It is reported that there were occupants in the home at the time of the fire, but everyone made it out prior to the fire departments arrival. There is extensive damage to the structure and contents. Authorities have not released a damage estimate.
