GOVE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Sunday in Gove County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford Focus driven by Fabian G. Hernandez Rios, 34, Colby, was eastbound on Interstate 70 one half mile east of Gove County Road AA.
The car crossed the median and struck a 2018 Peterbilt semi driven by Adan G. Reyes, 43, Houston, Texas, on driver's side.
Rios was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Brocks North Hill Chapel. Reyes was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
