Third earthquake this week shakes Dickinson County

DICKINSON COUNTY— The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake shook Dickinson County Friday night.

The quake, which measured 3.0 in magnitude, was recorded  at just before 10 p.m. approximately one half mile northeast of Hope in southern Dickinson County.

This is the third quake reported in the county this week. The USGS reported a 2.4 quake Tuesday morning and 2.7 quake near Herrington Thursday afternoon.  There are no reports of damage and no injuries.

A magnitude 3.2 earthquake shook an area on the Kansas-Oklahoma line Thursday night. The U.S. Geological Survey reported the tremor struck at 8:17 p.m. and was centered in a remote area 22 miles northwest of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
