GEARY COUNTY - A six-year old girl was pronounced dead at a Geary County hospital in Junction City after Sheriff Deputies responded to a call of a possible drowning.
According to a Facebook post from the Geary County Sheriff's Office, on Monday, June 9th at 4:57 pm, deputies responded to the call of a possible drowning in Milford State Park at the swim beach by the Splashpad and South Boat Ramp.
It was reported that a six-year old girl was transported to Stormont Vail Flint Hills campus, (Junction City) where she was pronounced dead.
The Geary County Sheriff's Office stated that the incident is not believed to be criminal in nature.
