Two Kansas men caught selling drugs

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations. 

On Thursday, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Shawnee County Drug Task Force served search warrants in the 500 Block SE Baldwin Road and the 400 Block of NE Winfield, according to Topeka Police LT Ronnie Connell.

While conducting the search warrants, officers located marijuana, drug-cultivating equipment, firearms, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, Shawn Wadkins, 51, and James Haney, 71, were transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections.

Shawn Wadkins remains jailed on requested charges of Distribution of marijuana, Cultivating hallucinogens with intent,  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with intent to distribute, Unlawful to acquire proceeds from drug transaction and no Drug Tax.

James Haney is jailed on requested charges of Distribution of marijuana, Cultivating hallucinogens with intent, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with intent to distribute, Unlawful to acquire proceeds from drug transactions and Drug Tax.
