KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just before 1a.m. Saturday in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina, a blue Nissan Altima was westbound on E. Red Ridge Road approaching Harrison Street when it collided with a parked white Ford F-450 boom truck. The boom truck had its emergency lights activated and was surrounded by tall orange traffic cones
The driver of the Nissan was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff. This marks fatality #46, compared to #47 at the same time last year, according to Becchina.
