NESS COUNTY—Sheriff's Deputies took a suspect into custody Friday at Western Plains High School- USD 106 in Ransom, according to a media release from the Ness County Attorney's office.
Law enforcement was at the school in connection with an ongoing investigation. The sheriff’s office was assisted in the investigation by an outside collaborating agent, according to the media release.
The Ness County attorney released no additional information about the suspect or case but stated there is no known danger or ongoing threat to the students, staff or community as a result of the incident.
The case has been referred to the Ness County Attorney for prosecution. Charging recommendations were presented to the District Court and the court reviewed those recommendations for probable cause before setting bond for the suspect taken into custody.
