Kan. woman went on crime spree with subject of protection order

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on multiple allegations following a burglary call in Shawnee County.

Just before 9a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a possible burglary in the 6600 block of NW 94th Street, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

While in route, significant information was gathered and the suspect vehicle was stopped by deputies near NW 35th Street and NW Huxman Road.

During the investigation illegal narcotics were located. Stacy L. Ripple, 37, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, distribution of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft, defective mirror and no vehicle liability insurance.

Matthew R. Scheidegger, 41, was also arrested and booked into the SNDOC on requested charges of violating a protection order. Ripple was the protected party of that order.
