Sheriff: Kansas woman caught with drugs during traffic stop

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a traffic stop in Shawnee County.

Just before 8a.m. November 27, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on a blue 1998 Chevrolet HHR, with an expired license plate that did not belong on that vehicle, near SW 18th Street and SW Urish Road, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

During the investigation, it was determined that the driver had a suspended driver’s license and illegal narcotics were located. Faye A. Bean, 43, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of  Possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, Use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body,  Vehicles; operate vehicle without registration or with expired tag, Driving while license suspended, No vehicle liability insurance and License carried/exhibited
