Salina, Kansas and the surrounding communities are growing, and Eagle Communications is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial individual to lead the region to further success as General Manager. Located at the crossroads of two interstates, Salina has both a strong commercial/industrial base as well as a thriving Main Street Business. Strong schools and advanced learning institutions further anchor this community and Eagle Communications has the leading radio stations in the market along with online news and information services.
We are looking for someone that is committed to their community and region, and willing to grow Eagle operations by supporting local businesses and institutions. We are looking for an individual who understands the culture in our 100% employee-owned company is different than anywhere else in the Media Industry.
This position is in our Salina market with stations KINA(AM), KSKG(FM), KSKG (HD-2) as well as our Salina Post news service.
Vacancy Type: Full Time
Salary: $60k - $80k
Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid vacation and ESOP (employee stock ownership plan).

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Directing the day-to-day efforts of a 3-radio station cluster with significant news/information and digital presence.
This position oversees all aspects of station operations: sales, marketing/promotions, programming/operations, and administration.
Community-focused – developing relationships with partners/clients in the community.
Experience and Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have a proven history of developing leaders, exceeding financial/budgetary goals.
Hiring, training and motivating sales talent.
Media sales management experience in a comparable market is preferred.
An entrepreneurial spirit, leadership experience, and an extreme desire to succeed are essential to success.
The selected candidate must be detail-oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, be goal-oriented and self-motivated.
Communication experience on-air, writing, and public speaking is preferred.
Experience with Marketron and VCreative is beneficial.
