KANSAS CITY—A pedestrian identified as 46-year-old Phillip D. Castleberry injured in hit-and-run on December 10 in Kansas City died over the weekend, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
Just after 6:30p.m. Dec. 10, an unknown vehicle driving Northbound on Troost Avenue on the outside lane struck Castleberry who was crossing Troost Avenue at 82nd terrace.
The vehicle left the scene in an unknown direction. EMS transported Castleberry to a local hospital with life threatening injuries, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Police are still asking the public for help with information to help them locate the vehicle involved.
