Sheriff deputies find loaded gun, meth during Kan. traffic stop

SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on multiple charges after a traffic stop.

Just before 5:00 p.m. Thursday, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of SW Van Buren Street in Topeka for a registration violation, according to Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer.  Deputies located a loaded handgun and methamphetamine. 

Deputies arrested the driver, Frank J. Robinson, 44, of Topeka, on requested charges of aggravated criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and driving while suspended.

The passenger, Lori A. Hause, 44, of Topeka, was on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Stallbaumer.
