McPherson County reports COVID-19 total up to 298

MCPHERSON -- The McPherson County Health Department today reported 298 total cases of COVID-19 in the county.

Of that total, 268 cases have now met Kansas Department of Health and Environment recovery guidelines or have passed away, and two of the active cases are hospitalized, the health department reported.

Additionally, the health department is working to confirm medical records on four other deaths before listing them in the county's COVID-19 numbers.

Following is updated COVID-19 case data provided by the health department.

• Asymptomatic: 26

• Cases with unknown exposure: 116

• Cases 60 years old and above: 74

• Cases 50-59 years old: 31

• Cases 40-49 years old: 41

• Cases 30-39 years old: 38

• Cases 18-29 years old: 81

• Cases under 18 years old: 33

• Female cases: 155

• Male cases: 143

• Hospitalized cases (may not represent current hospitalizations): 24

• Ventilated cases (may not represent current ventilated cases): 4

• Deaths: 1 (4 pending records)
