Kansas woman accused of pointing gun at smoke shop customer

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a convicted felon on new allegations after an incident involving a gun.

Just before 9 a.m. May 29, police responded to a reported disturbance at Planet Smokes located at 101 SE 37th Street in Topeka, according Police Lt. Michael Hren. Upon arrival, it was alleged an individual entered the business and an employee, later identified as Angel L. Baatrup, 33, of Topeka, had pointed a firearm at them.

Officers made contact with Baatrup and learned she was prohibited from possessing a firearm. As a result of the investigation, Baatrup was later arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Aggravated assault; use of a deadly weapon and Felon in possession of a firearm
