Kansas couple caught transporting methamphetamine

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations.

Just before 3:30p.m. November 6, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Ford F150 at 118th Road on U.S. 75 Highway for multiple alleged traffic infractions, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Lisa Rene McKinney, 58, and the passenger was identified as Antonio Ramirez, 60, both of Hiawatha. A search was conducted of the vehicle which resulted in the discovery of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

McKinney and Ramirez were arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
