Kansas felon accused of selling fentanyl near a school

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas felon on drug allegations.

On January 27, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Shawnee County Drug Task Force served a search warrant in the 1000 Block of SW Boswell Avenue in Topeka related to an ongoing investigation, according to Police Lt. Ronnie Connell.

While conducting the search warrant, officers located methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, firearms and drug paraphernalia. As a result, Steven Harrison, 54, was transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges that include Distribution of fentanyl within 1000 ft of a school, kDistribution of methamphetamine within 1000 ft of a school, Distribution or possession with intent of drug paraphernalia within 1000 ft of a school, Possession of marijuana, Drug Tax Stamp and Criminal possession of a weapon by a felon.
