Kan. woman caught with meth in sheriff's office parking lot

 JACKSON COUNTY, Kan.—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on drug allegations after an incident  in the parking lot of the sheriff's office.

Just after 10:30p.m. May 12, a Jackson County Deputy Sheriff arrested 60-year-old Colette McKinnon, of Topeka in the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office parking lot, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

McKinnon was in the company of another person who was turning themselves in on an outstanding warrant.

McKinnon was placed under arrest on a requested charge of possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Jackson County Jail.
