KANSAS CITY—Late Saturday, a Missouri State Trooper was on a traffic stop in Clay County when his patrol car was struck.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Shalonda L. Williams, 42, Kansas City, who struck the Trooper's patrol vehicle was found to be intoxicated.
Williams was arrested on requested charges that include driving while intoxicated, carless and imprudent driving involving an accident, failure to drive in a single lane resulting in an accident and three misdemeanor Jackson County warrants, according to online records.
The were no injuries in the crash. The MSHP took the opportunity remind the public to driver sober and move over for emergency vehicles.
