Police found meth, prescription drugs during Kansas traffic stop

BARTON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug allegations after a traffic stop in Barton County.

Just after 1a.m. June 14, 1:12 a.m.,  police were dispatched to report of a disturbance in the 1200 block of Jefferson in Great Bend, according to a media release.

While responding to the area, the reporting party advised a man and woman left in a white Ford pickup.

Officers located the pickup in the 1000 block of Adams Street and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the occupants, officers observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers found suspected methamphetamine, prescription narcotics and more drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested the the juvenile driver and the passenger identified as 27-year-old Martez Tyus.
