Kan. deputy found sawed off shotgun in reported stolen jeep

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new allegations. 

Just after 1 p.m. June 5, an officer with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office located a gold 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 2300 block of SW Van Buren Street. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of the City of Topeka, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

During the investigation, an illegal sawed off shotgun was located.

Michael F.E. Dorsch, 39, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of aggravated weapons violation by a felon and criminal use of weapons.
