SUMNER COUNTY —Authorities continue to investigate the cause of a train derailment in Sumner County.
Just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday, eighteen Union Pacific cars filled with grain derailed north of Wellington, according to Union Pacific spokesperson Robynn Tyvser. There were no injuries, and no HAZMAT was involved.

The track was repaired and reopened to traffic Sunday at about 5:30 p.m. All the rail cars were cleared from the right of way and there were no injuries during that process, according to Tyvser.
