Kansas man accused of defacing ID marks on firearm

OSAGE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug and weapons allegations.

Just after 10 p.m. March 1, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S 75 Highway, near Carbondale, according to Sheriff Chris Wells.

During the stop, deputies found narcotics and a firearm.  The driver of the vehicle and a passenger were taken into custody. The driver Blake A. Coffman, 39, of Topeka is being held on requested charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia and Defacing Identification Marks on a Firearm.

Jessica R. Castle, 31, of Topeka is being held on requested charges of Possession of Methamphetamin and Possession of Paraphernalia.
