Registered offender accused of attempting to sell drugs in Kansas

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a registered offender on multiple allegations.

Just before 5a.m. May 24, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Honda Civic for a traffic violation near Q.4 Road and 150th Road in rural Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The deputy discovered methamphetamine, THC, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jay Norman Giannakos, 52, of Paxico.

Gainnukos was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute greater than 3.5 grams, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of the registry offender act.
