KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating a double homicide in Kansas City.
Just before 3:30p.m. Monday patrol officers were dispatched to the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road on a reported sound of shots, according to KCPD Officer Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
As officers arrived they were directed to a vehicle in a parking lot. There they located a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel responded and pronounced the man deceased on scene. EMS transported the woman to a local hospital where she died a short time later.
This is being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are working to determine the events that led up to the shooting.
