Kansas teen accused in series of armed robberies

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for a series of armed robberies.

Just before 11p.m. March 1, police responded to a reported robbery in the 600 block of SE Lime Street in Topeka. Upon arrival, it was alleged that an individual  with a firearm robbed two individuals and left prior to officers arrival.

Just after 10:30 a.m. March 3, police responded to another reported robbery in the 700 block of SE Lawrence Street in Topeka. Upon arrival, it was alleged that an individual matching the description from the incident on March 1, used a firearm to rob an individual and left prior to officers arrival.

Just after 2p.m. April 3, police located the wanted alleged robbery offender, identified as Deon K. Ikner, 19, of Topeka, in the 200 block of SE 7th Street in Topeka. Ikner was later arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of 2 x Aggravated Robbery; Armed w/dangerous weapon.
