Police: 5 accused of violent Kansas robbery

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a violent robbery and arrested five suspects.

Just after 4a.m. Sept. 9, police were dispatched to the 1200 Block of Wanamaker in Topeka in reference to report of an aggravated robbery to a person, according to Lt. Donna Eubanks.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested, Ryan Barranco, 36; Breanna Watson, 31, and Holly Taylor, 45, all of Topeka on requested charges of Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Theft under $500.00.

Officers also arrested Preston Patterson, 39 and Lauren Ortiz, 32, both of Topeka on requested charges of Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Theft under $500.00, Possession of Meth with intent to distribute, Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute, Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute and Felon in possession of a firearm.
