MEADE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 5p.m. Thursday in Meade County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Cadillac CTS driven by Ashley M. Brooker, 35, Stillwater, Minnesota, was westbound on U.S. 54 miles just west of U.S. 160.. The Cadillac traveled left of center and struck a 2022 Toyota Tundra driven by Korin Hutchisson, El Paso, Texas.
EMS transported Brooker to St. Catherine Hospital where she died. Hutchisson was not injured. Brooker was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
