CHEYENNE COUNTY—A northwest Kansas man died in an accident just after 4a.m. Saturday in Cheyenne County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Ford F150 driven by Lane Hoffman, 28, St. Francis, was westbound on U.S. 36 just west of County Road 16.
The pickup crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 1997 Peterbilt semi driven by James Hutchison, 61, Ralston, Oklahoma.
EMS transported Hoffman to a hospital in Denver where he was pronounced deceased. Hutchison was not injured. Hoffman was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
