
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Wichita.
Just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, police patrolling near the 600 block of N. Poplar in Wichita heard multiple gunshots. At the same time, a Raven gunshot detection alert was activated for the area, followed by several 911 calls reporting the shooting at 1:28 a.m., according to a media release from Wichita Police.
Officers, already en route after the Raven alert, arrived on scene. and found 22-year-old Kashmire Tisdale, of Wichita, behind a residence with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers began life-saving efforts until Sedgwick County EMS arrived and took over. Tisdale was pronounced dead at 1:36 a.m.
Multiple shell casings were located at the scene. Several homes and a vehicle were also struck by gunfire. Police have not reported an arrest or possible suspect details.
