Kansas City —A child critically injured in an accident in Kansas City, Missouri has died.
Just after 10a.m. May 27, a Kansas City emergency crews responded to a reported tree down on a child in the area of 68th and NW Waukomis, according to KCFD Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
First responders reported the child that had been struck by a tree that had fallen and that the child was in critical condition. KCFD units transported the child to Children's Mercy emergency in critical condition.
Police confirmed the 5-year-old boy died over the weekend after being on life support. The incident remains under investigation.
