
WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Law enforcement have a suspect in custody after a 7-hour standoff.
Just before 2a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a disturbance in the 1100 Block of Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a media release. Police arrived and the victims reported a suspect fired a gun at them as they were walking their dog down the sidewalk.
The suspect then ran back into the building and barricaded himself in his apartment when officers attempted to talk to him. Just before 9a.m. Wednesday, police took him into custody. Police have not released his name or possible charges.
