
GRANT COUNTY, Oklahoma— Law enforcement are investigating the death of a Kansas man found on property near the golf course in Medford, according to a statement from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Just before 1a.m. June 5, Medford police, fire and EMS were dispatched to 525 Golf Course Road in Medford on a report of an unconscious man with shallow breathing, according to a press release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
EMS trasnsported he victim identified as 28-year-old Troy Devine of St. John, Kansas to the hospital in Enid where he was pronounced deceased, according to the OSBI.
On Thursday, the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner reported Devine's cause of death was blunt head and neck trauma and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Devine had been in “some type of altercation” at a house prior to being found unresponsive, according to the OSBI. Police conducted interviews as part of the investigation and will present evidence to the Grant County Attorney's office. No arrests have been reported.
