CHEROKEE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 8p.m. Tuesday in Cherokee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Braxon M. Gough, 19, Joplin, Missouri, was westbound on SE 110th Street three miles north of Galena. The car crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a tree.
Gough was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Forensics. The KHP did not have seat belt usage details due to the fire.
