2 Kan. women, 2 children hospitalized after crash with a semi

LABETTE COUNTY—Four people were injured in an accident just before 9p.m. Tuesday in Labette County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Peterbilt semi driven by John Jason Cammalleri, 46, Lusk, Wyoming, was westbound on U.S. 400 just west of U.S. 59.

The semi struck the driver side of a 2008 Ford F150 driven by Rachel J. Haslett, 25, Parsons, who was conducting an unsafe U-turn on U400.

EMS transported Haslett and three passengers including Destiny R. Miller, 25, Pittsburg, a 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old boy to Labette Health. The 3-year-old child was not restrained in a booster seat, according to the KHP.
