KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just after 5p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 8700 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
First responders immediately began to canvas for a victim. There were several people in the area summoning officers to a nearby vehicle, where an adult male victim was reportedly shot.
Officers located the victim unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot trauma. EMS responded shortly after and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Police do not have a person of interest identified or anyone in custody at this time.
Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel responded to collect any evidence and gather witness statements. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting. The name of the victim has not been released.
