KANSAS CITY —Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred just after 10p.m. Saturday in Kansas City.
According to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez, a silver Toyota Camry was westbound on Independence Avenue at a high rate of speed. A pedestrian was crossing Independence Avenue at Monroe from south to north in a marked crosswalk with a red traffic control signal.
