Emergency Food Assistance Program distribution next week

The September Emergency Food Assistance Program distribution is set for next week.

The drive-thru event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 16 at Kenwood Hall in Kenwood Park.

Persons picking up food will need to have a Saline County photo ID and proof of income. Additionally, all persons participating in the event must wear face masks.

Items to be distributed include spaghetti sauce, canned pork, fresh apples, tomato sauce, fresh oranges, split peas, frozen pork loin, cheddar cheese, instant milk, orange juice, whole frozen eggs, chicken strips, potato wedges frozen, and fish fillets, according to information from Sunrise Presbyterian Church, which is hosting the event.

Following are the monthly income guidelines for persons eligible to receive the food.
