Kansas felon arrested for alleged knife attack in Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Police made an arrest connected to a disturbance Thursday morning.

 At approximately 8:33 a.m.Thursday, police were dispatched to 1st Avenue and Main Street in Hutchinson for a disturbance, according to a media release from Police Capt. Dayton Gates. When officers arrived on scene, they located a man with a laceration to his body. Another victim reported a man threatening him with a knife during the same incident.

The injured victim was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment. He is currently in stable condition. Briantey L. Baskin, 26, of Hutchinson, was arrested for Attempted Murder in the First Degree and Aggravated Assault.
