UPDATE: Break out the sweaters and sweatshirts; Sunday to be cooler

UPDATE: By mid morning, a strong cold front will have moved through the entire area, resulting in much cooler temperatures today.  According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, the warmest afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 40s over most of the area, which is about 20 degrees cooler than the normal for the date.

After a more temperate Saturday, Sunday will be a stark contrast.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS)  in Wichita, Sunday highs are forecast to be around 50 degrees thanks to the arrival of cold air behind the front. A breeze is still expected with speeds at 15 to 20 mph, NWS noted.
