OSBORNE COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 11:30p.m. Sunday in Osborne County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 GMC Yukon driven by Christopher Hollis Ayers, 29, Osborne, was northbound on U.S. 281 nine miles south of U.S. 24.
The SUV left the roadway into the east ditch. The driver overcorrected and the SUV returned to the road, crossed the center line and left the roadway into the west ditch.
The driver overcorrected, entered the roadway again and the SUV rolled multiple times into the east ditch where the driver was ejected.
Ayers was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Clark-Gashaw Mortuary. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
