Kansas man, teen dead after 3-vehicle head-on crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY —Two people died in an accident just before 4p.m. Saturday in Montgomery County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Chevy Camaro driven by  Joseph P.  Savage, 45, Coffeyville, was southbound on U.S. 169 just south of 5000 Road.

The car traveled left of center and struck a northbound 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Connor A. Barba, 18, Normon, Oklahoma, head-on.

After impact the Chevy rotated back into the southbound lanes and collided with a 2012 Dodge Ram driven by Theodore J. Osman, 53, Nowata, Oklahoma.

 Savage and Barba were pronounced dead at the scene and were transported to Webb & Rodrick Chapel & Crematory.

EMS transported a passenger in the Hyundai Megan C. Barnett, 41, Norman, Oklahoma, to Coffeyville Regional Hospital. Osman was not injured. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
