SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating the case of an off-duty police officer arrested for driving under the influence.
Early Monday, the Kansas Highway Patrol booked off-duty Wichita Police Department Officer Cory Masterson into the Sedgwick County Jail on a requested charge of misdemeanor driving under the influence, according to police spokesperson officer Charley Davidson.
Masterson has been employed with WPD for 12 years and was assigned to the Field Services Division. He has been moved to an administrative assignment.
The case is being investigated by KHP, and an internal review will take place by the Wichita police.
