SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a violent armed robbery and made three arrests.
Just before 3a.m. September 3, police responded to a robbery in the 300 block of SE Lawrence Street in Topeka. Officers found two individuals who had been assaulted and robbed with a firearm. As a result of the investigation, detectives identified a suspect as Cristian Soto, 20, of Topeka.
Police found Soto on September 6, arrested and booked into jail on requested charges of Aggravated Robbery; Armed w/dangerous weapon, Aggravated battery; Knowingly use physical contact in angry/rude manner w/weapon, Aggravated assault; Use of a deadly weapon and Theft.
As a result of this investigation, two additional suspects were identified as Darian J. Isley, 20, of Topeka, and Raul A. Retana Jr., 22, of Topeka. On Wednesday, police located both suspects and made arrests.
Darian J. Isley is being held on requested charges of Aggravated assault; Use of deadly weapon, Aggravated Robbery; Armed w/dangerous weapon, Theft, Criminal possession of a weapon; convicted of person/drug felony; firearm used in crime and a Warrant.
Raul A. Retana is in jail on requested charges of Aggravated battery; Knowingly use physical contact in angry/rude manner w/weapon, Aggravated assault; Use of a deadly weapon, Aggravated Robbery; Armed w/dangerous weapon and Theft.
