Suspects accused of burglary at Kan. utility company security center

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating three suspects in connection with a business burglary.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday, police responded to a reported burglary at Evergy Security Center, 4001 NW 14th Street in Topeka, according to Police Spokesperson Rosie Nichols.

It was reported that three individuals had broken into the property and had stolen property.

Officers located one of the suspects, identified as Tyler A. Moore, 26, of Topeka, near 14th and Gage and took him into custody. Deputies from the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office then located the two other suspects, identified as 45-year-old Wesley D. Meade and 32-year-old McKinley G. Hopkins both of Topeka, near Lower Silverlake Road and U.S. 75 Highway and took them into custody.
