RAWLINS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident while fleeing from a crime scene just after 11p.m. Sunday in Rawlins County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Chevy Silverado driven by Macrae W. Migchelbrink, 28, Atwood, was attempting to flee from a crime scene, recklessly at a high rate of speed northbound on Road 18 just north of Road CC eleven miles north of U.S. 36.

The pickup began to leave the roadway to the right. The driver over-corrected and the pickup traveled into the west ditch, rolled and the driver was ejected.

EMS transported Migchelbrink to a St. Anthony's Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.  Law enforcement released no additional details on charges Migchelbrink might face or the crimes involved.
