SHAWNEE COUNTY —A Kansas teen injured in what was reported as accidental shooting has died.
Just after 11:30a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the report of shooting in 1700 block of SE 31st Street in Topeka, according to Lt. Shane Hilton.
Upon arrival, officers found that a 13-year-old girl suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. She died on Tuesday, according to police department spokesperson Gretchen Spiker.
The incident was reported initially as a possible accidental shooting. Police have not released her name or additional details.
