JOHNSON COUNTY—A Kansas woman is facing numerous charges of identity theft, forgery and mistreatment of an elder person for an alleged scheme involving a women's care center.
On July 2, Wendy Hopkins, 54, was charged with 48 counts, including identity theft, computer crime, theft, forgery and mistreatment of an elder person, according to the Johnson County District Attorney's Office.
The district attorney's office asks patients of Rockhill Women's Care who experienced financial fraud between September 2022 and November 2023 contact law enforcement.
Hopkins is being held on a $500,000 bond.
