BUTLER COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect after two-county chase and arrest.
Just after noon Monday, Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office deputies assigned to the Property Crimes Reduction Task Force attempted to arrest an individual with outstanding felony warrants in the 1900 block of W. MacArthur in Wichita, according to a media release.
During the incident, the suspect backed into a deputy's patrol vehicle and fled the area in a pickup truck. The deputy was not injured. Kansas Highway Patrol Air Support maintained visual contact with the vehicle as it traveled through northeast Sedgwick County and into Butler County.
With assistance from Kansas Highway Patrol troopers, the Wichita Police Department, Bel Aire Police Department, and Kechi Police Department, the suspect, a 38-year-old Wichita man, was ultimately taken into custody in Butler County.
Two additional individuals were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident and were being interviewed by detectives. The sheriff's office did not release the susect's name or. possible charges.
